Plants and maintenance contractors replace bearings across many machines at once: motors, fans, HVAC units, printing lines, construction equipment and other plant assets. Spare part lists often mix SKF designations, internal stock codes and incomplete descriptions. Inventory planners need each line tied to its machine and quantity so stock stays accurate.
- Keep the internal stock code next to the full SKF designation on every line so spares can be matched to the inventory records.
- Group the list by machine or asset, so standard replacement bearings and special-specification items are clearly kept apart.
- For electric motor and fan bearings, confirm the clearance and low-noise or electrically insulated variants before reordering.
- Flag any line with an incomplete designation and attach a photo of the marking, so the part is confirmed before it is quoted.
